How is your photo rated?

Composition (15 pts)
Rule of thirds, leading lines, subject placement, framing, negative space and visual balance.
Lighting (15 pts)
Quality, direction, contrast and the way light shapes the subject and atmosphere.
Focus (15 pts)
Sharpness, depth of field and whether the main subject receives the attention it needs.
Exposure (15 pts)
Histogram balance, highlight and shadow detail, and whether the brightness supports the image.
Creativity (15 pts)
Originality, point of view and creative choices that make the image distinct.
Emotion (15 pts)

What does a photo score out of 100 mean?
The number is a reference across the seven criteria, not an absolute artistic grade. In the current scoring guide, 70–84 indicates a strong image with room for refinement, while 85 or above indicates an exceptional result. The written feedback explains which criterion is affecting the score most.
How accurate is the AI photo rating?
The rating applies a consistent set of visible photographic criteria. It is not infallible and does not define artistic truth — photography remains subjective — but it gives you a useful baseline and explains the reasoning behind the score.
Is "Roast Mode" really harsh?
Yes — Roast Mode gives you blunt, humorous feedback. Think of it as what a brutally honest photographer friend would say. It's fun, but also surprisingly useful for identifying obvious problems you might be blind to.
Can I rate photos taken on my phone?
Absolutely. Smartphone photos, DSLR shots, mirrorless — any image up to 30 MB works. The AI adapts its criteria to the type of photography.
